Milo Is Hiring – And We Want YOU!

Posted: 25 Apr 2011 02:59 PM PDT

Not only is Milo hiring, but we’re hosting hack-a-thons at Penn State and RIT! This week only, seniors will get an opportunity to show off their coding skills and, in return, receive on-the-spot job offers (if we’re impressed, that is).

If you’re not a graduating senior at one of these schools, you can always apply the “old-fashioned way” at milo.com/jobs.

But if you’re still on-campus, here’s the info:

Milo Presentation & Hack-a-Thon at Penn State and RIT

Who?

Developers, coders and hackers!

What?

The Milo presentation and hack-a-thon will help you discover what it takes to start, fund, operate, and SELL a web startup. You’ll also meet engineers not much older than you who happen to be the people behind Milo, an online local shopping engine, which was founded in 2008 and sold to eBay in December 2010. We'll speak about developing a compelling web product, raising money to make your idea a reality, and the gory details of running a tech company in Silicon Valley.

The accompanying hack-a-thon will give developers an opportunity to showcase their skills using a unique engineering challenge. The best part: On-the-spot job offers for great hackers and iPads for top solutions. Food will, of course, be provided.

When?

RIT
Wednesday, April 27th
12:00 – 2:00 pm: Presentation – College of Science, Building 8, Room 1250 (auditorium)
5:00 – 11:00 pm: Hack-a-Thon – Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences, Building 70, Room 1400 (auditorium)

Penn State
Friday, April 29th
1:00 – 3:30 pm
333 IST

If you can’t attend but would like to learn more about working at Milo, check out the open engineering positions on our jobs page.
